Final Project – due December 14th

With your group assigned for the second part of the semester, please create a dialogue with your group members lasting a minimum of 5 minutes. The dialogue may be up to 10 minutes in length. Each member of the group must participate equally with responses and questions being full questions and sentences.

You must record the dialogue in a video and audio file where I can see all members. Acting is not required, but can be basis for a better grade if done well. Please send me a link to the file or the actual file to professorbrandon@gmail.com You can also upload the file to Facebook.com if you would like as well. Extra credit will be given for placing your Final Group Project on Facebook.com

There will be no paper exam. This group project will suffice as your final grade for the course.

To truly utilize the social networking aspect of the site Facebook, have two conversations (of course in English) with two other classmates you don’t know. So, make sure you join your groups (with other members of your class) listed here and connect with your classmates. After so, start up those two conversations with them on the website via your “walls” or via the commenting ability when responding to others’ questions, etc.

Compare two different cellular phone cultures.

Research how cell phones are used in a foreign country and compare it to Korea. You will probably need to research data on Korean cell phone culture as well. For example, this article from MSNBC details cell phone activity in Korea.

Detail the differences like:

the number of cell phone users in both countries
analyze the “texting” between the two counries
average cell phone usage & bills in both countries
cell phone etiquette
other forms of communication other than cell phones

After you’ve completed your 350 words or more report/analysis, please post it up to your website/blog. After you upload it to your blog/website, please email both your team members and me the blog/website url/address.

Please find an non-profit/NGO group which does something to “beautify” Busan in one way or another. The group can be a small one or a larger well known organization. However, the group must have some information available which you can summarize.

Additional information you find pertinent
